Obituary: Rose Falugo, 92
Rose and her husband, Jay, ran a Bedding Center business for decades, which is now run by their son.
Rose Mary (Jamiel) Falugo, beloved wife of Charles J. “Jay” Falugo, Jr., for 68 years, passed away February 7, 2020 at the age of 92. Rose was born on January 7, 1928 and spent her youth in Bristol. She had nine sisters and three brothers, and is survived by three of those sisters – Evelyn Keener, Lucy Paulson and Catherine Hansson. Rose is also survived by her children: Charles (and Mandy) Falugo, Jean Bellm, Mark Falugo and Jayne Falugo. Her son Michael “Buddy” Falugo passed away in 2006. Additionally, Rose had eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
As a child, she learned retail sales and bookkeeping from her father and used that knowledge in all her successful business endeavors. In 1949, Rose graduated from Pembroke College, which later merged with Brown University. She married Jay on March 25th, 1951 and was a teacher in Bristol for several years.
Rose and Jay only recently turned their Bedding Center business over to their son who continues to run the store that Rose and Jay opened in 1969.

Rose and Jay shared many adventures during their marriage. They were able to travel the world extensively with family and friends. Rose was a much beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend. Her wisdom, her advice, her generosity, and her love will be missed.
