Overnight Fire Forces Evacuation Of Warren Nursing Home

Residents were evacuated from Crestwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center overnight.

WARREN, RI — A fire broke out in a Warren nursing home early Tuesday morning, forcing an evacuation of the building. In all, 21 patients were relocated.

Metro Fall River Fire Alerts reported the flames overnight, saying the facility confirmed a "code red," of the medical code for a fire. Residents were evacuated from the building as crews began to fight the blaze, which was reported to be in the ceiling of the lower level.

According to WPRI, no injuries were reported, though 21 residents were displaced. While some were moved into other rooms inside the building, others will be housed in others facilities while repairs are made.
