Parking Bans in Bristol, Warren For Snowstorm

Expect delays for trash pickup.

BRISTOL-WARREN, RI — A significant storm is set to hit Rhode Island Wednesday into Thursday, dropping up to a foot or more of accumulation across the state. In Bristol and Warren, parking bans are in places and municipal services will be interrupted Thursday due to the inclement weather.

Bristol's parking ban is in effect from 9 p.m. Wednesday until further notice. During the parking ban, all vehicles must be removed from city streets. Residents can utilize the following off-street parking lots during the storm. All vehicles parked in these lots must be moved within one hour of the parking ban's end.

  • Cup Defenders Lot: 230 Wood Street (Entrance on Richmond St.)
  • Guiteras School Lot: Washington Street
  • St. Mary’s Church Lot: Wood Street
  • State Street Lot: Lower State Street
  • Town Common: Corner of State and High Street
  • VFW Lot: Creek Lane
  • Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Lot: State Street, behind Parish Center
  • Veteran’s Park Lot: Wood Street (East Side)
  • Prudence Island Parking Lot: Southern Thames Street
  • St. Elizabeth Church Lot: Wood Street

The town hall and all municipal offices will be closed all day. Trash and recycling will still happen, but will likely be delayed due to the snow. Any trash not collected Thursday will be picked up on Friday.

In Warren, the parking ban is in effect from 7 p.m. Wednesday to 5 p.m. Thursday. Trash collection is canceled for Thursday, and all collections will be delayed one day. That means Thursday households will have their trash collected Friday, and Friday's on Saturday. The town hall will be closed all day Thursday, as well.
