Shooter Had RI Connection: Newport Patch reports that Aaron Alexis, who shot and killed 12 people at the Navy Yard in Washington, D.C, had recently told Newport Police he'd heard voices coming from the wall of a hotel room where he was staying. Alexis was shot and killed after the shooting rampage on Sept. 16.
