School Committee to Hear New Bullying, Drug Policies Tonight

The Bristol-Warren Regional School Committee is scheduled to meet tonight, starting with an executive session at 6:45 am.

 

Bristol-Warren School Committee members are scheduled to hear first readings on new dating violence and drug policies as part of tonight's meeting, set to begin at 7 pm following an executive session at Mt. Hope High School.

According to information posted on the school department website, the violence policy — which also covers bullying and harassment — was last updated in 2009; the tobacco, alcohol, and drug policy was revised in May 23, 2011.

Committee members are also scheduled to hear Supt. Melinda Thies's recommendation for the 2013-14 school year calendar, among other items.
