'Screenagers Next Chapter' Screening At Warren Middle School
A free screening, followed by a moderated discussion, will be held on Jan. 28.
WARREN, RI — A screening of a documentary focused on parenting teenagers in the digital age will be screened at Kickemuit Middle School later this month. "Screenagers Next Chapter: Uncovering Skills for Stress Resilience" will be shown on Jan. 28, followed by a moderated discussion.
The film follows Delaney Ruston, a doctor and filmmaker, as she searches for ways to help young people navigate the digital age, tackling stress, anxiety and depression with her own teenage children. It is a sequel to Ruston's first film, Screenagers: Growing Up in the Digital Age.
Nicky Piper, the chairwoman of the Bristol-Warren Education Foundation said the organization thought it was important to share the film with the entire community.

"The BWEF mission is to promote educational excellence in our public schools, and we believe that education happens in families, as much as in the classroom," Piper said. "We have seen an increase in the need for social emotional supports for our students, and believe that it is critical to have conversations about this as a community."
The screening is free and open to the public. Tickets can be reserved online, and more information on the film is available here.
