Warren Police: Driver to Hospital After Alleged Drunken-Driving Crash

The Warren Police Department made the following arrests and citations in recent weeks:

• Dante Blancare, 31, of 28 Market St. Apt. 2, Warren, was arrested on Tuesday, July 9 at 5:10 p.m. and charged with driving under the influence, refusal to submit to a chemical test, and driving with a suspended license. Blancare's car allegedly collided with another vehicle at the intersection of Market and Barney streets, downing a tree and speed limit sign in the process. The victim was transported to Rhode Island Hospital with injuries after being extricated by rescue personnel.
• Alexis R. Andreozzi, 25, of 17 Davis St., Warren, was arrested on Tuesday, July 9 at 11:11 a.m. and  charged with simple assault and disorderly conduct following a fight on Davis Street. Andreozzi was transported to district court that day for an arraignment.
• Andrew A. Fowler, 22, of 137 Kickemuit Road, Warren, was arrested on Wednesday, July 10 at 5:53 p.m. on a bench warrant issued from Sixth Division District Court.
• Melanie M. Rene, 366 Metacom Ave., Warren, was arrested on Wednesday, July 10 at 7:22 p.m. and charged with driving with a suspended license following a traffic stop at the intersection of Metacom Avenue and Seymour Street.
• Ronnie L. Smith, 24, of 104 Grandview St., Providence, was arrested on Thursday, July 11 at 7:21 p.m. and charged with driving with a suspended license after he was stopped for a driving violation on Market Street.
