Warren Police Reports: Disorderly Conduct, Aggressive Driving

Here's a brief look at some of the calls the Warren Police Department responded to from Nov. 11 through Nov. 18.

Any possible charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.

  • On Nov. 11 at 11:23 p.m., police arrested Robert Bennett, 42, of Cocoa Beach, FL on Third Street in reference to a violation of court order. He was charged with vandalism, malicious injury to property and disorderly conduct.
  • On Nov. 12 at 8:54 a.m., police responded to the area of Main Street for a possible case of animal abuse. No other details provided.
  • On Nov. 12 at 2:05 p.m., police responded to Homestead Avenue in reference to a disturbance. According to police, the caller advised that her young son was out of control and was experiencing an "outburst" after not being able to use the internet.
  • On Nov. 12 at 6:21 p.m., police arrested Cory Stours, 51, on Child Street in reference to an outstanding warrant. He was turned over to the Bristol Police Department for processing.
  • On Nov. 13 at at 5:48 p.m., police responded to the area of Main Street in reference to an erratic driver. According to police, another driver through what appeared to be a bottle at another driver's vehicle. Police were ultimately unable to located the alleged aggressive driver.
  • On Nov. 13 at 6:33 p.m., police responded to the area of Croade Street in reference to a person with an outstanding warrant. George Silvia, 57, of Warren, was taken into custody to face charges of simple assault and disorderly conduct.
  • On Nov. 14 at 6:57 p.m., police responded to the area of Metacom Avenue in reference to an intoxicated male outside of a residence causing a verbal disturbance. Sean Hicks, 56, of Warren was arrested and charged with simple assault and disorderly conduct.
  • On Nov. 14 at 8:11 p.m., police responded to the area of Kinnicutt Avenue in reference to an aggressive driver. A caller reported that a white vehicle was observed swerving in and out of traffic on Child Street. Police eventually made contact with the driver, an elderly man who they said was not used to driving at night.
  • On Friday, Nov. 15 at 12:17 a.m., police issued a traffic citation to Cory Steffens, 32, of West Warwick for driving with a suspended license.
  • On Friday, Nov. 15 at 9:57 p.m., police responded to the area of Barden Lane in reference to a man yelling and throwing objects. When they arrived to the scene, they also located a woman with a small laceration on her neck. Joseph Rego, 45, of Warren was arrested and charged with felony assault and disorderly conduct.
  • On Saturday, Nov. 16 at 1:29 p.m., police responded to the area of Joyce Street. North Carolina law enforcement requested that officers be on the lookout for a vehicle used in a homicide around 2:00 a.m. that morning. A man may be behind the wheel. Officers were warned to used caution. No other details were provided.
  • On Saturday, Nov. 16 at 10:44 p.m, police arrested James Spader, 52, of Warren for driving after denial/suspension/revocation of a driver's license. Police say this was his second offence.
  • On Sunday, Nov. 17 at 12:42 a.m., police arrested Kelly Silva, 52, of New Bedford, MA for DUI/drugs/alcohol. Officers say Silva refused to submit to a chemical test.
  • On Monday, Nov. 18 at 3:03 a.m., police responded to the area of Washington Street in reference to an animal complaint. A caller reported a bark dog in the area. No other details provided.
