Warren Police Seeking New Probationary Patrol Officer
The Warren Police Department is accepting applications for a Probationary Patrol Officer.

WARREN, R.I. -- The Warren Police Department is seeking a new Probationary Patrol Officer.
According to Warren Police, the department is looking to establish an eligibility list for the position. Applications will be accepted through March 25 at noon and must be submitted with a $30 non-refundable processing fee.
The job listing describes the duties of the position as "performing responsible law enforcement duties, including patrol, investigation, traffic control, and a variety of other duties designed to preserve peace and and order and the protect life and property in the town."

Requirements for the position include:
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must have at least 60 credits from an accredited college or university or proof of two years of continuous active duty in the U.S. military
- Must have graduated the RI Municipal Police Academy or another police academy in good standing
- No previous felony convictions. Certain misdemeanors may be disqualifying, depending on the circumstances
