The water is safe for swimming again, the state health department said Thursday.

WARREN, RI—Warren Town Beach can re-open, the state health department said Thursday. The beach had been closed due to high bacteria counts. But now the water is safe for swimming again.

When a beach closure is recommended, water quality analysis is conducted by RIDOH's laboratory or a state-certified laboratory. The status of a beach may change daily.
