Third Beach in Middletown is safe for swimming now, but three other beaches are closed due to high bacteria counts, the state said.
BRISTOL, RI — Third Beach in Middletown is safe for swimming now, but three other beaches should be closed for swimming due to high bacteria counts, the state said. Two, Sandy Point Beach and Conimicut Point Beach, are in Portsmouth. The third is Bristol Town Beach in Bristol.
Also, the Slack Reservoir (on the Johnston/Greenville line) remains closed due to blue-green algae.
