Arrest In Chestnut Hill Avenue Home Invasion: Cranston Police
The incident happened July 27, police said.

CRANSTON, RI—Police believe they have caught the man involved in the Chestnut Hill Avenue home invasion on July 27. According to Maj. Todd Patalano, the investigation led officers to Jannsye Toucet, 31, of Providence. Detectives obtained an arrest warrant. Accompanied by state police, Cranston officers found Toucet at his Delaine Street home and took him into custody.
He was charged with these crimes:
- first-degree robbery;
- assault with a deadly weapon in a dwelling house;
- use of a firearm while committing a crime of violence; and
- possession of arms by a convict in a crime of violence.
He was arraigned at the police station and sent to the state prison (as a violator).
