A 'Big Dillo': 4 New Babies Welcomed At Roger Williams Park Zoo
Four nine-banded armadillos were welcomed by mom Patsy, and are doing well.

PROVIDENCE, RI — Meet the new Golden Girls.
The Roger Williams Park Zoo recently welcomed four new additions: quadruplet nine-banded armadillos, named Sophia, Rose, Dorothy and Blanche.
The babies were born to mom Patsy, who is doing well along with the pups. As is the case with all new zoo arrivals, mom and babies are spending time off-exhibit to bond and allow staff to monitor them closely.

While four babies at once would be extremely unlikely for most human parents, it's par for the course in nine-banded armadillos. Armadillo moms always have litters of four pups at a time, all the same gender, the zoo said.
