Canvassing Board Reminds Voters of Disaffiliation Deadline

The Cranston Board of Canvassers is reminding voters that the party disaffiliation deadline for the Sept. 12, 2018 statewide primary is on Thursday, June 14.

Any voter wishing to disaffiliate from their current party prior to the primary election may do so online at vote.ri.gov, in person at the Canvassing Department at Cranston City Hall on 869 Park Ave. during normal business hours, or by submitting an updated voter registration form on or before June 14.

The Canvassing Department is also accepting applications for pollworkers willing to work the Sept. 12 primary and Nov. 6 general elections. Pollworkers are required to attend training classes and receive between $175-$200 for each election worked.
