Friday marks the official first day of summer, even if the weather may not feel very summery here in Southern New England. In honor of the summer solstice, Dairy Queen is giving away free vanilla cones. Here's where you can find them in Rhode Island.
There are two Dairy Queen locations in the state, one in the Providence Place Mall and the other at 275 Atwood Ave. in Cranston. All day long, walk into either and enjoy a free small cone with an option chocolate or "dreamsicle" shell coating.
To claim the treat, download the Dairy Queen app ahead of time, where there will be a special one-day-only coupon for a free small cone.
