Central Falls Man Accused Of Killing Coworker In November

CENTRAL FALLS, RI — A Central Falls man is accused of killing a Providence man last month. Jose "Chepe" Aparicio-Mendoza, 31, was arrested Tuesday and charged with murder, according to Rhode Island State Police.
On Nov. 26, a body was found at a former rest stop on Route 295 in Lincoln. The victim was later identified as 50-year-old Jose Segura, who was reported missing Nov. 10. The Medical Examiner's Office ruled the death as a homicide.
Aparicio-Mendoza is accused of killing Segura Nov. 3. The pair worked together installing floors.

Aparicio-Mendoza is set to be arraigned in third division district court Tuesday afternoon. If found guilty of first-degree murder, he will face life in prison. Second-degree murder carries a minimum sentence of 10 years in prison and the possibility of a life sentence.
