"ChaCha for Charity" to benefit Cranston after-school program

Recent Budget cuts in Rhode Island took a toll on the after-school programs in many school in the state. The Fred Astaire Dance Studios of Warwick believe it is necessary to give back to the education system and raise awareness of the importance of fine arts programs, and what they develop in students. The studios mission is to implement a 10-14 week after-school ballroom dance program that develops youths core life skills. In order to achieve these goals, the Fred Astaire Dance Studios of Warwick have created a non-profit organization and a fun fundraiser in the Cranston Community.

I Choose Dance, Inc is a newly conceived 501(c) 3 non-profit
organization that will institute an after-school ballroom and dance
program at Cranston High School East in
2020. At I Choose Dance, Inc, we hope to serve the Cranston and then the
wider Rhode Island area for years to come by fostering a healthy
lifestyle, creative expression, and a sense of physical, emotional and
social well-being through ballroom dance instruction.

The Fred Astaire Dance Studios of Warwick has partnered up with I Choose Dance, Inc, Fidelity Chapter Demolay International and Woodridge Assembly International Order of Rainbow for Girls to put together a fundraising event called, “Cha Cha for Charity: Dancing with the Youth”, Saturday, January 11th 2020 at 6pm! This showcase event will be held at the Scottish Right Center in Cranston Rhode Island. Proceeds will go towards I Choose Dance Inc

Students will then have the opportunity to showcase what they have worked on in front of friends and family. I Choose Dance, Inc looks forward to creating a new relationship with the local schools in the area.
