Rhode Island received a failing grade in small business friendliness, according to a survey by Thumbtack.Â
Rhode Island has been in the bottom of the rankings every year of the survey. California and Illinois also received failing grades. Connecticut and New Jersey received D grades.Â
The survey looked at several issues, including:Â
- Business-friendly licensing regulations
- Ease of filing taxes
- Tax rates
- Government-sponsored training programs
