
CRANSTON, RI — The white-gloved robber has been caught, Cranston police said Saturday night. Officers arrested a suspect at "approximately" 4 Saturday morning. Details will follow, but detectives say he "is responsible for the recent string of early morning armed robberies in the City of Cranston and neighboring City of Providence.
Cranston police previously released surveillance photos of the suspect who robbed the Mobil station on Elmwood Avenue and the 7-Eleven on June 9. He's believed to be the same man who held up the 7-Eleven on June 2. He showed a black gun during the robberies.
