Extra Library Hours Start Thursday At Auburn Branch

The Auburn branch is adding Thursday hours starting today, July 6.

CRANSTON, RI — The Auburn branch is adding Thursday hours starting today, July 6. The change means the library will be open every weekday afternoon. According to the staff, the extra service hours will be more convenient and will benefit the youngsters in particular.

"As a neighborhood branch, we’re very busy in the afternoons, especially after school gets out,” said Karen McGrath, branch librarian. “With these added hours, school-aged children will be able to come here every weekday afternoon.”

Expanding location service hours is also part of a larger goal to improve library access across the city, added Library Director, Edward Garcia.
