Hasbro Children's Hospital Holding Essay Contest For Kids

The winners from each age group will receive 16 pints of Warwick Ice Cream and a private tour of the ice cream factory.

PROVIDENCE, RI — Hasbro Children's Hospital is hoping to get local kids to do a little extra homework this summer with the promise of a very sweet prize. In honor of its 25th anniversary, the hospital is holding an essay contest discussing why it is important to children.

The essay contest is open to anyone under the age of 18 who is enrolled in elementary, middle or high school. Essays should be 300 words or less and will be accepted until August 5.

Winners will be selected from several age groups. Each winner will receive a month's supply, 16 pints, of Warwick Ice Cream and a private tour of the factory.

To enter, answer the question: Why is Hasbro Children’s Hospital so important for kids? Essays can be submitted on Lifespan's website. Parents or guardians are asked to submit essays on the behalf of children under age 13.
