L.L. Bean's First RI Location in Cranston Set for Grand Opening
New England's favorite outfitter will finally have a location in the Ocean State.
CRANSTON, RI— Quality-minded shoppers can rejoice now that an out-of-state trip to an L.L. Bean is no longer necessary, now that the retailer is opening a Cranston location.
The 17,000 square-foot space in the Garden City Center, formerly occupied by an OfficeMax, will have its formal grand opening to the public on Aug. 12 to 14, with various classes and clinics about outdoor activities planned throughout the week.
The first 200 shoppers to arrive at the store at its opening on Friday at 9 a.m. will receive a gift card worth up to $500. A contest to giveaway a trip to Maine is the highlight of Saturday for some discerning and lucky customers.

The Cranston store is L.L. Bean's 28th retail location outside of Maine and is located at 200 Hillside Road. It will offer its trademark apparel, footwear and recreational gear for a variety of outdoor activities and sports.
