Man, 51, Seriously Injured In Warwick Hit-And-Run

WARWICK, RI — A man was seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash on Airport road early Tuesday morning, according to Warwick police. The crash closed the road for most of the morning commute.

The crash happened around 4 a.m., Warwick police said. A 51-year-old man was found laying in the road, and was rushed to Rhode Island Hospital. He is currently in critical condition.

The driver responsible for the crash drove away before police arrived. Police are still investigating the incident and more information is expected later.
