Parking Bans In Place In RI Communities, Scattered Power Outages

Parts of the state could see as much as 6 inches of snow.

A nor'easter could bring as much as half a foot of snow to parts of Rhode Island Saturday, prompting cities and towns to declare parking bans.

After a rainy start to the day, snow is expected to arrive in the early evening hours, with four to six inches of accumulation possible in central Rhode Island. The heavy, wet snow will mix with high wind gusts to create dangerous conditions across the state.

Parking bans

  • Cumberland: 3 p.m. Saturday to 12 p.m. Sunday
  • Lincoln: 6 p.m. Saturday to 6 a.m. Sunday
  • North Smithfield: 7 p.m. Saturday to 12 p.m. Sunday
  • Smithfield: 12 p.m. Saturday to 12 p.m. Sunday
  • Woonsocket: 8 p.m. Saturday to 8 a.m. Sunday

As of 3:30 p.m., power outages were scattered, with only around 330 outages reported by National Grid. Find the latest power outage information using the company's interactive power outage map.
