PAWTUCKET, R.I. -- For the second year in a row, the Pawtucket Red Sox will be changing their name during certain home games. The team has been selected to take part in the Minor League Baseball Copa de la Diversion.

During Tuesday home games, the PawSox will once again be changing their name to "Osos Polares de Pawtucket," or the polar bears of Pawtucket. Tuesday, July 2 is the only exception.

This year will include several new special features, including free admission for kids aged 12 and under during the first four Osos games on April 16 and 23 and May 14 and 28.

The team debuted the Spanish name during last year's season, which includes special jerseys and hats as a way of celebrating the Rhode Island Hispanic community.

During Osos games, Hispanic music is played in the parks and PA announcements and lineups are all made in Spanish, as well as bilingual information boards. This year, Mondor Way will be hosting Latin food trucks before games. Interviews and fun facts highlight Hispanic players, and the team will also highlight Hispanic-focused non-profits throughout the community.
