PawSox Offers 'Diamond Dining' At McCoy

PAWTUCKET, RI — Although the stands at McCoy Stadium remain empty for now, fans have a chance to return to the ballpark as part of the team's new "Dining on the Diamond" program. Reserved picnic tables are available on the baseball diamond, with a variety of ballpark classics available for eat-in or takeout.

The program begins Friday with the debut of curbside pickup, followed by the first diners on the diamond the following weekend. Fans can order dinners for pickup from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Next Friday and Saturday night, the team will host two seatings on the diamond, one at 5:30 p.m. and one at 7:30 p.m. Takeout options will be available as well, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Further dates will be announced.

All orders must be placed in advance and paid for via credit card on the team's website. Tables will be limited to five people each, with a total of 20 tables, or 40 seatings total each night. Diners will be limited to one hour to allow for as many people as possible to eat.

Fans can also call 401-724-7300, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday-Friday, to speak with a PawSox employee directly.

All tables will have at least 14 feet of space between them, and will be sanitized thoroughly between diners. In case of rain, tables will be available in the main concourse, beneath a covering. All fans will be asked to wear a face covering when not eating, and will be screened for symptoms upon entry.

The menu ranges from $3 to $10 and includes the following:

  • Baseball’s best hamburgers and cheeseburgers
  • Classic ballpark hot dogs
  • Tasty chicken tenders
  • “McCoy stadium’s finest” french fries
  • “Nacho average” nachos
  • “Fun and crunchy” veggie nuggets with ranch dipping sauce
  • Special dinner: eggplant parmesan
  • Special dinner: barbeque meal: pork and brisket with mac ‘n’ cheese, cole slaw, and corn bread
  • Special dinner: grand slam hot dogs: bacon-wrapped hot dogs with pulled pork and mac ‘n’ cheese (not even close to vegetarian)
  • Dessert: Hood sports ice cream bar

Drinks, including beer and wine, will also be avialble for purchase. Free parking will be avaialble, and restrooms will be open.
