Pop-Up Vaccine Clinics Coming To Navigant Credit Union Branches

Seven bank branches across Rhode Island will host vaccine clinics over the coming weeks.

"Our goal with these pop-up vaccination sites is to give our members and neighbors across the state who would like to receive the vaccine an opportunity to easily check that item off their to-do lists during their daily routines," the bank's CEO said.

CRANSTON, RI — Pop-up COVID-19 vaccine clinics are coming to seven Navigant Credit Union branches across Rhode Island over the next days and weeks. The clinics will be set up in the parking lot outside the banks and will be open to all eligible residents.

"We are thrilled to see Rhode Island well on its way to some semblance of normalcy, and we are grateful to Governor McKee, the Department of Health and the countless frontline workers, healthcare professionals and volunteer for doing the hard work to make the vaccine accessible, which has made that normalcy attainable," said Gary Furtado, Navigant Credit Union's president and CEO. "Our goal with these pop-up vaccination sites is to give our members and neighbors across the state who would like to receive the vaccine an opportunity to easily check that item off their to-do lists during their daily routines."

Vaccinations will be available throughout the day Thursday and on July 16. Initially planned for this week, the Friday clinics were rescheduled due to inclement weather.

"The State of Rhode Island’s goal is to make COVID-19 vaccinations as accessible as possible," Gov. Dan McKee said. I hope many Rhode Islanders who have not yet gotten vaccinated will take this opportunity to do so."
