PROVIDENCE, RI — A popular weekend market is returning to Downtown Providence this summer. The Providence Flea will reopen for the season at its summer, outdoor location starting in June.

The market, held on Sundays, moved indoors when cold weather arrived. The weekly indoor markets will continue at Farm Fresh Rhode Island until May 23, from 11 a.m. to 3 p..m. Starting June 6, the market will return to the Providence Greenway along South Water Street, open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

As was the case when the market reopened last summer, coronavirus restrictions will be in place until further notice. That includes the requirement that both vendors and shoppers wear masks, lowered capacity to allow for social distancing and symptom and temperature checks upon entry.
