Rhode Island Youth Theatre presents Shrek The Musical JR.
Playing August 17th & 18th at the RI Center for the Performing Arts (The Park Theatre) in Cranston
Shrek The Musical JR. comes to the Park Theatre in Cranston this weekend! Beauty is in the eye of the "ogre" in Shrek The Musical JR., based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film and fantastic Broadway musical. The cast features over 60 students from around the state. Cranston students include Jordyn Amato (Pied Piper), Sophie Appel, Esme Appel, Rosalie Byron, Liam DeRosa (Bishop), Emmaline Hall (Pig Two), Jane Kristiansen (Teen Fiona), Gemma Laurelli (Fauna), Rachael Mancini (Flora), Oliver McParland (Baby Bear), Helena Medici (Mama Ogre/Mama Bear), Samuel Memery (Owl), Wesley Memery (Big Bad Wolf), Sofia Patriarca, Gracie Peterson (Tinkerbell), Adi Pfeiffer (Cinderella), Theo Pfeiffer (Peter Pan), and Giuliana Voller (Puss in Boots). Led by directors Brooke Fennell and Connor Buonaccorsi, and under the musical direction of Nancy Hillner, these children and teen performers deliver an irreverently fun theatrical experience with a powerful message for the whole family.
Shrek The Musical JR. is being performed at the Park Theater in Cranston on Friday, August 17th, at 10 am and 7 pm, and Saturday, August 18th at 7 pm. Tickets for the 10 am performance on Friday, August 17th are $10. Tickets for the evening shows are $14 at the door or at www.riyt.org.
