Rhode Island's Seasonal Sun Country Airlines Service Ending Early

The airline will end seasonal routes to Las Vegas, Minneapolis-St. Paul, Nashville and New Orleans after October 28.

WARWICK, RI — Sun Country Airlines this fall will end seasonal service from Rhode Island to four cities across the country. The airline announced it will stop booking flights to and from the cities and T.F. Green Airport after October 28.

The airline in April launched the new, seasonal service to Las Vegas, Nashville, Minneapolis-St. Paul and New Orleans, with some flights set to start as late as this month. In May, Sun Country announced the launch of nonstop service to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, starting in November. The route was quietly removed from the airline's listed offerings, and while it is still shown on the flight map, no flights are available to book.

The Rhode Island Airport Corporation said customers with flights booked past October 28 will be contacted for refunds, WJAR reported. Seasonal flights will resume in April, though the April 2020 schedule is still being determined, WJAR continued.
