RI Adding About 4,000 Coronavirus Vaccine Appointments Tuesday
The new appointment slots will be added for the Dunkin' Donuts Center site starting at 9 a.m.

PROVIDENCE, RI — About 4,000 new coronavirus vaccine appointments with be added to the Rhode Island Department of Health's scheduling platform Tuesday morning, the department said. All appointments in this group will be for the mass vaccination site at the Dunkin' Donuts Center in Providence.
The new, first-dose appointments will be available to schedule online starting at 9 a.m. There will be 1,000 appointments available each day for March 30 and April 1 through 3, all for the two-dose Moderna vaccine.
Although Tuesday's appointment batch will be larger than those offered last week, the number of first-dose appointments is still limited because of a large number of second-dose appointments. This week, the department estimates that about 35,000 second vaccine doses will be administered to Rhode Island residents. More first dose appointments are expected to be available next week.
