RI Drive-In Theater Changes Times For Coronavirus Curfew

Movies will start earlier to adhere to the new overnight stay-at-home advisory.

NORTH SMITHFIELD, RI — With Rhode Island's overnight stay-at-home advisory now in effect, a popular drive-in theater is changing its operating hours.

This weekend, films at the Rustic Tri View Theater will start at 6:15, which will allow the facility to close by the new 10:30 p.m. curfew. Gates will open at 5 p.m.

The theater has seen a surge in interest during the pandemic, allowing Rhode Islanders to enjoy a socially distanced evening out.

Tickets to the theater, which shows double features on three different screens, can be purchased online, selecting "Rustic Drive-In" as the location.
