RI High School Seniors Awarded Art Scholarships

Each public school in Rhode Island nominates one student for consideration.

Three Rhode Island high school seniors were awarded scholarships by the Wickford Art Association's annual scholarship program. A fourth students was awarded the Presdient's Award by the Rhode Island Art Education Association.

Each public school in the state submits one student for consideration.

Arianna Deal from Cranston High School West took home the first place prize of $1,500. The second place prize of $1,000 went to Chase Goulet of North Kingstown, and Laura Heffernan from Portsmouth received $500 for third place.

The $500 President's Award was given to Emma Naughton from Lincoln High School.

  • Grace Dallas, Exeter-West Greenwich Regional High School
  • Emily Fontes, Cranston High School East
  • Tess Gibson, Middletown High School

Each of the four winning students will have their own public art exhibit at the Wickford Art Association, a one-year membership to the association and an invitation to exhibit their art at the 57th Wickford Art Festival on July 13 and 14.
