RIPTA To Change To Summer Schedule June 20

PROVIDENCE, RI — The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority's summer schedule will take effect this weekend. Starting Saturday, certain routes will be adjusted to meet seasonal traffic demands.

Passengers are encouraged to check schedules online and plan their trip in advance.

Most changes are slight, such as more trips on Route 67, which runs to Bellevue Avenue and the Newport Mansions, and later service on Route 6, or Prairie/Roger Williams Park Zoo, to accommodate night classes at the Community College of Rhode Island's Providence campus.

The following routes will be affected by the summer schedule:

• 4 Warwick Ave.
• 6 Prairie/Roger Williams Park Zoo
• 19 Plainfield/Westminster
• 21 Reservoir/Malls/CCRI
• 22 Pontiac/Warwick Mall
• 35 Rumford/Newport Ave.
• 51 Charles/CCRI/Twin River
• 54 Lincoln/Woonsocket
• 58 Mineral Spring/North Providence
• 62 URI/Providence Station
• 67 Bellevue / Mansions
• 72 Weeden/Central Falls
