Roger Williams Zoo Is Free On Black Friday

The animals that enjoy the cold will be on hand to meet visitors, the zoo said.

CRANSTON, RI—Looking for something to do with the youngsters on Black Friday? Roger Williams Park Zoo has a present for everyone. The zoo admission is free on Black Friday, Nov. 23. But people are asked to remember the needy and bring a can of food or other non-perishable item for the Rhode Island Community Food Bank.

Zoo hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the Marco Polo Trail is the place to go.

"Many of the animals at Roger Williams Park Zoo enjoy the cooler temperatures including the adorable red pandas, captivating snow leopards, and delightful moon bears all on the Marco Polo Trail," the zoo said. "Additionally, do not forget to stop by and visit with the red wolves who also enjoy the brisk temperatures."

This year marks the third time the zoo has opened for free and invited people to donate to the Rhode Island Food Bank. Dr. Jeremy Goodman, executive director of Roger Williams Park Zoo, said, "We hope that by opening the Zoo on Black Friday everyone will take some time to get outside, enjoy the fresh air, and be with family and friends to experience everything the Zoo has to offer."
