Sepe Announces His Bid For Mayor

He has received the backing of top local Democrats.

Micheal Sepe, 68-year-old chairman of the Democratic City Committee announced his bid for Mayor of Cranston on Sunday with his wife Valerie by his side.

Sepe is the first candidate to announce his bid for the job and ran for the job once before in 1994.

His promises to the city include transparency and accountability at city hall.

Mayor Fung has had the job since 2009 and has not announced he will be running again but has made strong indication he will be trying to keep his job.

City Council President John Lann, House Speaker Nicholas Mattiello, and Deputy Speaker Charlene Lima have all spoken highly of Sepe.
