The Senate-sponsored exhibition will kick off National Youth Art Month, which is celebrated in March.
PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Student artwork will be on display in the second-floor rotunda of the Rhode Island state house on Wednesday evening. The exhibition, sponsored by Senator Hanna Gallo (D-District 27, Cranston, West Warwick), chairwoman of the Senate Education Committee, and the Rhode Island Senate, is to kick off National Youth Art Month in March.
The exhibition will be held from 3 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. The event is open to the public and will feature students and their families as well as art teachers from around the state.
In an effort to promote arts education in local schools, the theme of the exhibition is "Arts education creates a more vibrant Rhode Island."
