T.F. Green Airport Adding 'Island Hopper' Service To Nantucket
Starting this summer, you'll be able to fly directly to Nantucket from Rhode Island.
WARWICK, RI — Getting away to the Cape just got a little easier. On Wednesday, T.F. Green Airport announced new "Island Hopper" service to Nantucket via Southern Airways Express. The seasonal service will run from June to October.
Currently, a flight to Nantucket from Rhode Island takes between 15 and 19 hours, with most flights laying over in Washington, D.C. before turning back and heading to the Cape.
The first Warwick to Nantucket flight takes off June 14, but the convenience of not sitting in Cape Cod traffic comes at a price. One-way tickets on the airline's website start at $179.

This will be the first Southern Airways Express flight pattern in Rhode Island. The airline primarily operates in the mid-atlantic and gulf coast regions, also offering service from Los Angeles to Imperial, California and island hopper flights between the Hawaiian islands.
