Sun Country Airlines Adds Routes To Four Cities From T.F. Green
Sun Country Airlines announced Mondy that nonstop service to Las Vegas and New Orleans will begin in September.
WARWICK, RI — Sun Country Airlines is adding nonstop service from T.F. Green Airport to several new cities. Starting later this year, Rhode Islanders looking to get away will be able to fly to Las Vegas, Minneapolis-St. Paul, Nashville or New Orleans. Local officials gathered at the airport Monday morning to announce the new routes.
"Sun Country is an airline on the move and we appreciate that they have included us in their expansion plans. Each new route strengthens Rhode Island’s economy and provides a greater and more economical travel options for Rhode Island," said Iftikhar Ahmad, the president and CEO of the Rhode Island Airport Corporation.

The first routes will begin in April, with promotional fares to Nashville and Minneapolis-St. Paul starting at $69 each way.

Service to McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas starts on September 5, with initial round-trip flights running five times per week on Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. One-way tickets start at $189.
Flights to Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport start the next day on September 6, running three times per week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Fares start at $89 for one-way tickets.

"It’s been an exciting year for Sun Country coming off our largest network expansion in company history," said Sun Country Chief Commercial Officer Ted Botimer. "We look forward to offering our low fares and great customer service to more people and places in 2019 with this additional service."
New routes to Las Vegas and New Orleans are being added at several airports across the country, including St. Louis, San Antonio and two cities in Oregon, Redmond and Portland. This brings the company's total nonstop routes to 64.
