Trinity Rep Announces Return To In-Person Theatre

The 2021-22 season will kick off with "A Christmas Carol" in November, a Providence tradition.

PROVIDENCE, RI — As the coronavirus pandemic begins to wane and Rhode Island continues to reopen, live theater is once again returning to the state. Starting in the fall, live shows will again be performed at Trinity Repertory in Providence.

"It is almost time to be live again at Trinity Rep.," theater managers said in a statement. "Join us for the 2021-22 season to experience the magical moments that only exist in live theater"

The season will kick off with A Christmas Carol in November, an annual holiday tradition. Four additional plays will be performed in 2022: Tiny Beautiful Things, August Wilson’s Gem of the Ocean, Sueño and Fairview.

Theater management called the slate of shows "plays that allow us to celebrate our shared humanity and shine a light on experiences and worlds different from ours."

Package tickets for all four shows start at $80.
