What's Open/Closed In Rhode Island: Easter 2021
Most businesses are closed for the holiday, which falls on a day when a lot of places are closed anyway.
PROVIDENCE, RI — East 2021 is the second to be celebrated in the coronavirus pandemic, which means many people in YOUR PATCH and throughout our state will one again opt to forgo the traditional Easter celebrations for smaller, more socially distanced festivities.
Another pandemic Easter calls for a low-key day with close family. Whether you’re skipping the big meal, heading to a movie, or crossing items off your spring to-do list, it’s helpful to know which libraries, restaurants, and stores are open before you head out.
Because Easter falls on a Sunday, many municipal services are already closed for the day, such as libraries, municipal offices and postal service. The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority will run on its Sunday/holiday schedule.
