What's There To Do In RI During February Vacation 2021?
The coronavirus pandemic makes usual trips and activities more difficult.
Like so much else since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, February break 2021 will look a lot different this year. Usual trips, activities and play dates aren't possible, and many families are already suffering from cabin fever.
Patch has your back. Here's a look at some socially distant activities to keep the kids busy during their week off. Remember to always wear a mask when in public and maintain social distancing from others.

Not far over the border into Connecticut, the aquarium is open to the public. Because of the current restrictions in the state, all visitors are required to purchase timed tickets in advance, online.
A popular pandemic activity, Rhode Islanders can get outside this spring break while keeping their distance. Remember to dress in layers, wear a mask when around other people and wear sturdy shoes to protect feet and ankles on potentially slippery trails. The popular children's destination is reopening from Feb. 15 to 19. Because of the current restrictions, timed tickets are required for one of three slots: 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. or 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Up to 50 people can register for each slot, and tickets are available to purchase online.

The rink has reopened to the public, with safety restrictions in place. Plexiglass barriers have been installed at registers, and air filtration systems have been upgraded to allow for better circulation, the company said. In addition, all rentals are disinfected after each use and high-touch are sanitized frequently. Tickets can be purchased online.
Because of the current coronavirus restrictions, the rink is currently charging a $5 chaperone fee.
