Annual Luminaria Set for Dec. 10

EAST GREENWICH, RI – The paper bag lanterns and candlelight tour have lit up the Stone Ridge neighborhood for 25 years, according to Donna Fleming.

The 2016 edition is set for Dec. 10 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The rain date is Sunday, Dec. 11.

"Our neighborhood provides an outdoor display for the holidays which includes our traditional holiday decorations and thousands of paper bag lanterns decorating curbs, driveways and walkways," she said. "Last year the neighborhood was lined with over 3,200 lit lanterns. People from all over Rhode Island come to slowly drive through our neighborhood with headlights dimmed."

To find the Luminaria, follow Middle Road, west of Route 2 and take the second right at Stone Ridge Drive.
