Annual Turkey Trot 5K Highlights East Greenwich Waterfront

EAST GREENWICH, RI — East Greenwich will host its annual Main Street Association Turkey Trot 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run on Saturday. The event will require road closures in town on Duke Street, Division Street and Main Street.

The 5K begins at 8:30 a.m. and the Fun Run begins at 9:30. The raise begins on Duke Street and continues along the waterfront to Scalloptown Park. It then proceeds north on Main Street back to Division Street and Duke Street.

The Turkey Trot is a fully sanctioned and certified 5K race with prizes for top finishers in multiple divisions. The course highlights much of the beauty of East Greenwich, the waterfront and the hill district. Last year more than 550 runners and walkers participated in the event, which also includes crafts, music food and drinks from sponsors Dunkin’, Juice Junkie and LineSider Brewery.
