The East Greenwich High School varsity football team advanced to a 4-1 division record with tonight's home field win over the Lincoln Lions. With an apparent focus on player safety, many of the penalties called by officials resulted in lively debate by fans of both teams. The junior varsity team travels to Lincoln on Columbus Day (this Monday) at 1 pm. Fans can cheer on the varsity team next week when they travel to face rival Rogers in Newport for a 7 pm start on Friday 10/12.
