Coronavirus: 2 East Greenwich Firefighters Quarantined
The union representing East Greenwich firefighters said Thursday night two members of its crew are on 72-hour coronavirus quarantine.

EAST GREENWICH, RI — The union representing East Greenwich firefighters said Thursday night that two members of the East Greenwich department are in a 72-hour precautionary quarantine after possible exposure to people with the virus. The International Association of Fire Fighters Local 3328 said that two firefighters were possibly exposed to coronavirus while responding to a auto accident.
"We ask that you please stay at home to reduce the risk to us," Local 3328 said on a post on social media.
The union said the two firefighters will be placed on 72-hour quarantine, and will be removed from responding rotation in the department, until test results can be confirmed.

Today we had to place 2 members into a 72-hour quarantine after a possible COVID-19 exposure. This means that each firefighter must come off the frontlines and remain out of work until testing results are confirmed.
