East Greenwich Advancing to Football Superbowl

The Avengers faced a tough opponent today in the Burrillville Broncos during their Division II semi-final championship football game. Fans on both sides cheered on their teams right up to the last seconds of the game, where the Avenger defense was able to stifle a Bronco’s touchdown attempt at the goal line.

East Greenwich will play Woonsocket in next Sunday’s Division II Superbowl game, which will be held at 12pm in Cranston Stadium. The Villa Novans were the only team to defeat the Avengers during the regular season, so it should be quite a game!
