East Greenwich Man Named Home Loan Investment Bank CIO

EAST GREENWICH, RI—Congrats are in order for Jonathan Barrett after a big career change.

The East Greenwich native has been named Chief Information Officer of Home Loan Investment Bank in Warwick, returning to the company after stints at a bank and credit union technology company and as a senior manager in Citizens Bank's digital division.

“Jonathan has a wealth of knowledge in the technology sector, specifically as it relates to our industry, and we are thrilled to welcome him back to the Home Loan family,” said Brian Murphy, president and CEO.

Barrett has specialized in information information technology over the course of his career, helping to spearhead initiatives to streamline, modernize and optimize operations for companies in the financial services industry.

As Home Loan's new CIO, Barrett will be responsible for the IT division, setting its "direction that coordinates infrastructure and service delivery across the Bank," the company said in a press release.

"He is responsible for teams and vendors supporting enterprise applications, enterprise data, end user and technology support, infrastructure, communications, and compliance with information security standards," the company said.

Barrett holds a BS degree in Management Science and Information Systems from the University of Rhode Island.
