East Greenwich Emergency Mail Ballot Period
Due to the coronavirus health crisis, emergency mail-in voting applications will be accepted by appointment only.

EAST GREENWICH, RI — Mail-in voting ballot applications will be accepted on an emergency basis at the East Greenwich town clerk's office starting Wednesday, by appointment only, for the state's presidential primary to be held on June 2.
This is for voters who did not return their ballot applications by the deadline, and who are unable to go to the Swift Community Center polling location on Election Day.
Voters should call for an appointment at 401-886-8603. Visitors will be asked to sign in, answer the COVID-19 screening questions, and keep their nose and mouth covered at all times.

The emergency ballot period runs from May 20 to June 1 for the June 2 primary.
While administrative offices are available to the public by appointment, residents are encouraged to conduct town business online or over the phone when possible.

Voters who have already applied for a mail ballot should expect their ballot in the mail soon. Town Clerk Leigh Carney said 2,800 ballots have been mailed out to residents.
Voted ballots will not be accepted at the polling location on June 2. If necessary, voters can bring sealed ballots to the town clerk's office by 11 a.m. on June 2.
