East Greenwich To Offer February Vacation Programs
Events include four field trips - including indoor rock climbing - for East Greenwich students in first through sixth grade.

EAST GREENWICH, RI — The East Greenwich Community Service and Parks Department will hold a February Vacation Recreation program that includes four field trips and three classes. Registration for the programs begins on Jan. 21 for the programs for East Greenwich residents in grades one through six.
There is limited enrollment both classes and trips fill up on a first-come, first-serve basis. Children may sign up for a whole week of activities or individual programs.
East Greenwich residents who have a pre-approved account can register as of 8:45 a.m. on Jan. 21. Those who do not have an account can get one through submitting an account request. Forms can be printed off the town website. Once verified you will receive an email with your password. If you need to set up your account, then act immediately so on the first day of sign-ups you are ready to go.

Paper registration is also available. Those wishing to do that are asked to drop off registration forms by the open of business on Jan. 21 and students will be chosen lottery-style for the programs. The best chance to get a spot is through the online process since staff can only process one form at a time and online registration fills up quickly in the morning.
No refunds will be given after Feb. 10 unless the activity is canceled. If there is a cancellation after this date and the spot can be filled with someone on our wait list then you may receive a partial refund. Please notify the office as soon as possible so that we can attempt to reach someone.

Camperships are also available for those on public assistance
This year's programs include a cooking class where young attendees will learn to whip up an Italian meal including lasagna, garlic bread, cupcakes and cannolis; a field trip to the Rhode Island Museum of Science and Art; a POW! earth science workshop; a trip to the Warwick Central Rock Gym for indoor rock climbing; ninja skills training at Aim High; glow-in-the-dark Monster Mini-Golf; a Rain Forest Reptiles show from the Roger Williams Zoo and rollerskating at United Skates.
